    About Sulfur

Sulfur is an important component of vegetable protein, which is involved in its synthesis, as well as in the synthesis of fats and other organic compounds, as well as in metabolic processes (nitrogen, carbohydrate, protein).

Sulfur is an indispensable participant in photosynthesis and plant respiratory processes. As a component of some vitamins, it positively affects the fixation and assimilation of nitrogen from the atmosphere and trace elements by plants.

It should be noted its role in improving the taste and aromatic characteristics of plants, such as onions or garlic. As well as increasing the resistance of crops to diseases and pests.

Taking into account all the listed processes, in which granulated sulfur participates, it is quite natural that it is widely used in agriculture.

In addition, sulfur is actively used in such industries:

    • In chemical (for the production of sulfuric acid, as well as artificial fibers, dyes and pigments, phosphors, matches, explosives, including gunpowder)
    • In agriculture (as a fungicide)
    • In rubber (for vulcanization)
    • In road construction (for obtaining asphalt and asphalt concrete)
    • In pulp and paper (to create paper)
    • In textile (for bleaching)
    • In the food (in the manufacture of sugar)
    • In medicine (for the production of many medicinal products).
